WORLDWIDE AIRCRAFT SERVICES PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATION STATEMENT:

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Accounting Manager is directly responsible to the Chief Operating Officer for the performance of the Finance and Accounting department.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Accounting:
o Direct and lead WORLDWIDE AIRCRAFT SERVICES, INC accounting team and interface with parent company accounting department as required.
o Manage month-end and year-end close process.
o Preparation of monthly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flow).
o Research and provide detailed explanations to variances between actual and budget monthly.
o Assist with annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
o Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
o Develop and maintain financial KPIs for the company.
o Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
o Coordinate external audits.
o Review and comment on the quarterly and annual reports being filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, as needed.
o Supervise, develop, and provide leadership for the accounting department.
o Directs the cash management function including monitoring and analysis of the company's daily cash position and cash forecasts, such as 13-week cash flow forecasting.
o Supervises the annual budgets, monthly reporting, and forecasting provided to customers.
o Responsible for monthly inventory analysis.
o Coordinates and manages annual physical inventory count.
Operations:
o Provide guidance and support to the Chief Operating Officer for all financial matters.
o Support development of policies and procedures and promote adoption within the organization of best practices.
o Assess results of process improvements after implementation.
o Perform analysis around costs and operational data.
o Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
o Prepare reports and presentations to assist in management decision making.
o Assist in forecasting operation needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a bachelors degree in accounting.
7-10 years of progressing accounting and finance experience required.
4+ years of supervisory experience a must.
Solid understanding of general accounting principles, financial systems, and accounting processes.
Very strong aptitude for business software applications, including proficiency with general ledger.
SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Strong knowledge of TFBO preferred
Strong knowledge of MS Office skills including experience with Excel (charts, formulas, pivots, and functions), Power Point, and Word.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Work typically performed in an office environment. However, due to work requirements, may require frequent travel which will involve exposure to noise, chemicals, adverse temperatures and other similar hazards.
